Shift Mendelson

What's yer name? *blinks and looks around to see if you're talking to her or not* Oh... Rebecca Mendelson.

Dat what people call ya, or d'ya got a nickname? *bites her lower lip* Some people call me Shift. I don't think anyone's ever told me why. *looks vaguely confused* But you can also call me Becca or Becky, or anything really... *looks away*

Whaddaya look like? *looks down at herself* Like a girl? *isn't making a joke, is quite serious* *looks back at you* *holds out a strand of long, straight brownish red hair* It's... auburn? I'm not sure. And my eyes are brown. The colour of mud, nothing v ery special. *wants so desperatly to be special, but just... isn't* *but is fairly pretty upon closer inspection, with thick, long hair, pale, flawless skin, and a sweet, heart shaped face*

How old are ya? *smiles slightly* 21. I know I don't look it.

What kind o' work d'ya do? Actor, stagehand, what? *pauses* I'm an usher. I hand out programs and things like that. I also Sew costumes, do makeup, help out wherever I can. *shrugs a bit* *wants to be an actress, but has never had the nerve to audition fo r any parts*

How 'bout tellin' us a little 'bout yerself? Ya know, what kinda personality ya got? *bites her lip some more, obviously a nervous habit* What do you want to know? *somewhat warily* I'm just me, I gu ess. I'm quiet, I don't suppose I talk much. *glances towards the stage, where some hands are setting up scenery* *tugs on the end of her braid* I love the theatre, it's all I've ever wanted to do. It's the only place I feel -safe- in.... and happy. *bite s her lip again* I like to help people. I'm not very smart though, there was never much time for school... *pauses and shrugs a bit* I do my best. What about you? *characteristic turnabout* What do you do? *genuinely* Are you in the theatre? Have you seen the latest show here?

Any special talents? *blushes crimson* Oh, no, none at all. *pauses* Well, I sing. *flushes deeply* But not in front of people.
